INTERIOR DESIGN : FIT-OUTS FOR NEW BUILDS
STUDY CASE 1 - LARGE PENTHOUSE
Sandweiler, Luxembourg
The story
This property was bought off the plans. Monde Avenir’s intervention started before the construction of the penthouse. This gave us and the owners ample time to plan the overall look finalise the Interior layout and anticipate costs that were not included in the Cahier des Charges.
The brief
We were asked to follow the progress of the build, prepare the technical specifications and attend the site visits with the builder, assist the clients in the selection of materials, finished and furniture.
One challenge
Fitting the very long night corridor, which by its rather narrowness, does not allow for furniture. Instead we used the lighting network to stage some visual interest.
STUDY CASE 2 - PRESTIGIOUS RESIDENCE
Dublin, Ireland
The story
The English architectural firm Melville Dunbar Associates was commissioned for the management of the project. Being involved from the day the building authorisation was filed meant that all the design work could be planned well in advance and the building work undertaken with the interior design in mind.
The brief
Apart from designing all the elements and despite the sheer size of the build, we had to make sure the house would feel confortable and homely.
Here are the elements we designed:

Each room was clearly laid out, spaces and functions well defined. Intervening from very early on meant that we could revisit the positioning of some internal walls before they were built.

Each wood panel, door panels, window frames and surrounds, pediments over the internal doors, balustrade, banister and staircase steps were all designed and custom made according to our drawings.

Every fireplace was designed, each tile cut anticipated, each window dressed with luxurious padded drapes and complementary trimmings,

Planning / conceptual work is essential to the success of the project; as an interior designer, I can ensure that all the elements of design are coherent with one another and that the final result will be harmonious and the exact answer to the clients' wishes.

STUDY CASE 3 - PENTHOUSE
Bettystown Ireland
The story
This project a little particular as it was filmed for the television programme "Showhouse" on the national channel RTE. Being filmed meant that the implementation had to be extremely short; it took only one week.
The brief
The brief was short : fit-out the penthouse on a shoestring budget without knowing who will live in it.
Here is the final look:
